SUPPORTING the weak

Who are the weak?

God gives an example in this verse:

Deuteronomy 10:18

King James Version

18 He doth execute the judgment

of the fatherless and widow,

and loveth the stranger

in giving him food and raiment.

In our hearts, we also know the "weak" are those who are enslaved, ill, impoverished, disenfranchised, forgotten, abused, feeble-minded, elderly, disabled.

They can be found in our homes, and outside on the streets.

They can be found in offices, and all over the world.

Let the WORD of GOD guide us about the plight of our suffering brothers and sisters.

May we do all we can to create a better world that puts them foremost, with GOD above all.

Let these verses GUIDE and REMIND us of their presence in our lives:

Acts 20:35

King James Version

35 I have shewed you all things,

how that so labouring

ye ought to support the weak,

and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus,

how he said,

It is more blessed to give

than to receive.

1 Thessalonians 5:14

King James Version

14 Now we exhort you,

brethren

warn them that are unruly,

comfort the feebleminded,

support the weak,

be patient toward all men.

Deuteronomy 24:14

King James Version

14 Thou shalt not oppress

an hired servant

that is poor and needy

whether he be of thy brethren,

or of thy strangers that are in thy land

within thy gates:

Romans 12:13

King James Version

13 Distributing to the necessity

of saints

given to hospitality.

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

King James Version

11 And that ye study to be quiet,

and to do your own business,

and to work with your own hands,

as we commanded you;

12 That ye may walk honestly

toward them that are without

and that ye may have lack of nothing.

Leviticus 23:22

King James Version

22 And when ye reap the harvest of your land,

thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners

of thy field when thou reapest,

neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest

thou shalt leave them unto the poor

and to the stranger

I am the Lord your God.

Lastly, the MOST POWERFUL verse from JESUS:

Matthew 25:40

King James Version

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them,

Verily I say unto you

Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one

of the least of these my brethren,

ye have done it unto me.
